💦Water is Life💦

You can survive weeks without food but only a few days without water.  In fact, around 60% of your body is made of water. Consuming fluids is essential for your health and proper function of all body system.

- Water help to transport nutrients and oxygen to all body cells and carries waste away from the cells.

- Water helps to regulate body temperature

- Water is the major part of the digestive system and assist in elimination.

- Water assists in flushing toxin out of the body.

- Water protects organs and lubricates joints.

- Water is essential for our senses by  providing moisture to the tissues in the mouth, eyes, ears.

Most of us don’t drink enough water. If you are low in energy and tired, experience constipation, headaches, breakouts, cravings, cramps - reach for that glass of water and drink more water.

Start your day with a tall glass of room temperature water. This is also get your digestive system going and moving. Keep a full bottle 1 l water with you. Bottles like Hydroflasks are great, to avoid plastic bottles and also saving some money. If you are struggling to drink water, try to flavor it with some mint leaves, lemon juice, even a pinch of sea salt (which is also great to replenish any lost electrolytes post workout).

I drink around 2 l of filtered water per day and can totally feel the difference if I don’t drink enough water. However there is no hard and fast rule on how much you should be drinking as it depends on everyone’s needs and lifestyle, I.e. exercise, climate, illness. Check the color of urine, if it is dark, drink more water. If it is pale-yellow or clear, you are good 💦👍
